Field & Game Members Dominate Skeet Championships

Dubbo Gun Club hosted the western zone skeet carnival on the 22nd of April to which 5 members of field and game attended.  The major event for the day was the 50 target Western zone championships with the 3 highest western zone members selected to represent the zone at the state championships in Wagga Wagga in August. Congratulations must go to Chris Everett and Luke Cross on being selected 1 & 2 in the team along with Shane Bennett of Dubbo Gun club.  Other highlights for the day included Chris Everett as B grade high gun and winner of the 50tg western zone championships and the 50tg skeet doubles, Luke Cross 2nd in A grade in 50tg western zone c/ship, Denis Coaker 1st in 50tg skeet doubles, 1st 50tg NSWCTA c/ship and 2nd in 50tg skeet doubles, Les Clarke 1st C grade 50tg western zone c/ship,and 2nd in 50tg NSWCTA c/ship. Peter Tremble 2nd in 50tg skeet doubles. It is great to see Field and game members being very competitive in other disciplines and shows the variety and quality of our sport is readily transferable. Well done to these members.
