No Free Lunch at LCER Shoot

21/05/2012

The Luke Cross Engineering & Rigging sponsored shoot drew a competitive group of shooters together to shoot what is known as one of the more challenging shoots of the year.  This reputation delivered a challenging day for all shooters that participated.  The targets were all very well positioned around the range with hidden traps and different presentations being delivered.  You had to work for every target.  Congratulations must go to Brett Hall and Luke Cross for setting the range along with many who both turned up to set up and pack up many hands make light work and this is evident at the club with everyone getting in and doing their little bit. Thanks to all.  It was pleasing to see shooters travel from Gunnedah, Sydney, Gulgong, Bathurst and the locals for the day.

High Gun was won by Andrew Webb form Bathurst with a 75. AA grade Chris Everett 69. A grade Peter Kay 74, B grade Grant Barton 69, C grade Alister Lyne 59, Vets John Sidoti 73, Super Vets Denis Coaker 63,  Juniors Mick Vaughan, Sub Juniors Jed Cunningham 58. A big thank you to Michelle who did the canteen at short notice and all who supplied food from soup to cakes all the little things help.

The winner of the Handicap trophy was Harry Knaggs a young and upcoming shooter to the club on a count back to Alister Lyne.  This took a couple of days to sort out after some handicap cards needed sorting. Well done Harry.

This may be a timely reminder that all handicap cards need to be up to date and handed in each month.  It is the shooters responsibility to keep their card up to date.  If you are not sure on how to do it please just ask! Before you arrive at the office to nominate.
