Cool & Fast

16/07/2012

The Menzies Pumps & Irrigation Rees & Bourke shoot was shot on a far from warm day where 45 shooters rolled up to shoot what are know as quick and snappy targets and the day lived upto expectations.  It was great to see many new faces as well as members come out for the July shoot.  High Gun for the day was Peter Kay with a 78. It was good to see many younger shooters enjoying our great sport.  Other Highlights of the day included A Grade 1st  Chris Everett, 2nd Andrew Webb after a tie with Jimmy Zammitt, B Garde 1st Brett Hooper, 2nd John Coaker, 3rd Stephen Smith. C Grade with one of the better scores of the day Ashley Burrel with a 64, 2nd Ben Hooper, 3rd Neil Donaldson. Juniors Samual Brander, Sub Juniors 1st Harry Knaggs, 2nd Marcus Jackson, 3rd James Sewell. Vets 1st John Sidoti, 3rd Tony Everett. Super Vets 1st Denis Coaker 2nd Kevin Heywood, 3rd David Rourke. Ladies 1st Elizabeth Weber.  Shooters came from Walgett, Bathurst, Forbes, Gulgong and the local area. Well done to the range setters on a good course and Sponsors Menzies Pumps & Irrigation Murray Rees & Chris Bourke.  See you all next month for a club competition on the 3rd Sunday and then the 2 day 200 target State Championships on the 4 Weekend.
