2012 Coaker Everett Memorial Shoot

22/10/2012

October 20th & 21st saw the annual two day shoot of the Coaker Everett Memorial and a great success it turned out to be.  The weather was great with the first day a tad warm and then to settle down for brilliant shooting weather on day 2.  The shoot was a great success for many reasons with what I belive to be the greatest success is the effort put in by so many club members too numerous to individually thank. Thanks to all who gave up a weekend's shooting especially a member who came and set up on Friday and then came back on Sunday afternoon to packup that is what this great club is all about.

On the competition front we saw many competions all run in conjunction and all the prizes shared around.  A big congratulations to Lee Cunningham from Gulgong winning Highgun and his son Jed winning Intermediate Highgun lucky they brought the ute to carry all the prizes home.

The Trophy competetions for special stations

The Dick Coaker Memorial Trophy High Pheasant Geoff Menzies with a 21/24(C grade but not for long)

The Stuart Coaker Memorial Trophy Grouse Butt Station Max Holland 22/24

The Tom Everett Memorial Trophy Black Duck Station Jesse Bloink 16/20(Sub Junior)

Side X Side Competition Luke Cross

Classic Pheasant Gun Denis Coaker

The weekend was a great opportunity to camp and was great to see so many families camping and heaps of kids playing and enjoying themselves outside. Thanks to the Carr family for donating a Lamb for the spit on Saturday night that was very well recieved by all.

Thanks to cooks, caterers, office staff, range setters and everyone who stayed to packup.  A brilliant effort by all.

See you all next month for the Gunpro sponsored shoot.
