Clay target championships heat up.

Clay target championships heat up.

With the weather being  extremely hot, it was heartening to see good numbers of clay target shooters register for the Dubbo Field and Game clay target Club annual championships for 2014.

With many members returning from National Championships in Mudgee the previous week end, Dubbo club target coordinator Brett Hall and championship sponsor Luke Cross set a range that what could only be described as challenging.

However this was club championships so the titles had to be well deserved.

There were some comments about the targets being hard but as all shooting sports men and women know the hard targets only get easier the more you try them.

A test of not only shooting ability but mental agility was programed into the course by Brett and Luke and at the end of the day Brett and Luke were congratulated by all for setting a National standard range befitting a club championship.
